Board of Health approves two septic variances, stable permit

Lakeville Board of Health clears septic variances, stable permit and two home kitchens in a unanimous night. Engineer Alphonse Cloca of KBM Design Group won two local variances for a septic repair at 17 Southworth Street, including a nitrogen-removal waiver for a lot roughly 1,694 square feet under the required 30,000. A separate upgrade at 4 South Ave, presented by engineer Kyle of Outback Engineering, was approved after the board caught a transposed setback figure in the paperwork, correcting it to 243 feet.

The board gave preliminary approval for a two-horse stable permit at 37 Taunton Street sought by Cody Hamilton, after a Leonard Street abutter said, "I don't want to be out on my deck," citing rodent concerns from stored manure and grain. New residential kitchen permits were also approved for Joanne's Table and Tea at 18 Sherwood Lane and the Wooden Spoon LLC at 13 Beachwood Ave.
