Carver Cranberry Baseball League gears up for a Middleboro 9U tournament as the summer schedule winds down.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Carver Cranberry Baseball League, also known as Bog Town Little League, serves players from Pre-K through sixth grade. The league describes its mission as providing "a positive, fun environment for our young players to learn baseball and instill in them a love of the game," and says it is fully volunteer-based. According to the league's website, an all-day Middleboro 9U Tournament is on the schedule for Aug. 2. The league maintains field-status listings for its home sites, including fields at Carver Elementary School, the Carver Fields complex (Majors, Rookie/Minor, and softball diamonds), the Manomet Recreation Area, and the Carver High School field.

No Carver High School contests were reported for the period, according to ArbiterLive.
