Historical Society brings Revolutionary War talk to Wareham library
The Wareham Free Library welcomes the Wareham Historical Society on Wednesday evening for a talk on the town's Revolutionary War history, while town officials continue reminding residents of an upcoming hazardous waste collection day and outdoor watering restrictions.

The town's homepage continues to display active outdoor watering restrictions tied to beach conditions, alongside a reminder that Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for August 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at Municipal Maintenance, 95 Charge Pond Road. A Wareham or Carver transfer station sticker is required for residents planning to drop off materials.
The town also flagged ADA improvement work underway at the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell, part of ongoing accessibility upgrades to town facilities.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Wareham Free Library hosts "Wareham In 1776: With the Wareham Historical Society" on Wednesday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m., offering residents a look back at the town's role during the Revolutionary War era. The talk follows the library's "Concerts on the Lawn" series, which featured the Unlikely Strummers on Monday, July 27.
Looking ahead, the library has two children's and teen programs on the books for early August: "Joys of Nature: Amazing Animals — Surviving Life in the Wild" on Wednesday, August 5, at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m., and "Wicked Good Henna and Spa Fun" for teens and tweens on Friday, August 7, at 9:30 a.m.
