Hull Select Board backs Town Hall relocation plans, advances balanced FY27 budget
HULL — February 25, 2026 — Hull Select Board reviews $3.2 million Town Hall relocation design and a balanced $56.6 million FY27 budget. OPM Brian LaRoche and architect Jeremy Tobin of BH Plus A presented preliminary schematic plans for converting the Memorial Middle School into Hull's new municipal offices, with roughly $1.5 million available for hard construction costs after fees; key scope questions — including air conditioning, a handicap-accessible entrance ramp, and a code-required six-hour fire-rated vault — remain unresolved pending a cost estimate due in three weeks. Town Accountant Mike Buckley told the board that total FY27 revenues are projected at $56,615,285, a $1,875,006 increase, with the tax levy up 2.99 percent and the general stabilization fund at $2.7 million. The budget adds two firefighters, an additional DPW worker, expanded veterans office hours, and new IT capacity, all without an override. "To present not only a balanced budget but also to be able to increase staff in some very important areas," said Member Irwin Nesoff, "I'd like to really thank you and commend you."
