Hull Select Board Renews Town Manager Constable to Three-Year Contract Through 2029

HULL — May 13, 2026 — Hull Select Board renews Town Manager Jennifer Constable's contract through August 2029. The board voted unanimously on four items at its May 13 meeting before entering executive session, emerging to announce a three-year contract renewal for Constable effective August 17, 2026 through August 16, 2029. Chair Irwin Nesoff said he thanked the board, town manager, and personnel counsel for the process; Constable said she looked forward to "a very productive three additional years." The board also unanimously approved nine Community Service Officers for the 2026 summer season — five new hires and four returning officers — at $17 an hour base pay, with Deputy Neil J. Reilly of the Hull Police noting that nine officers are needed given the added load of 250th anniversary events. The board gave the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club approval to begin architectural and engineering work on a possible renovation or replacement of its building on town-owned land, with full plans required before any construction approval; and approved the Capital Improvement Committee's request for free technical assistance from the state Division of Local Services to build out a five-year capital plan. Member Jason McCann, completing his three-year term and not seeking re-election, attended his final meeting; colleagues described his tenure as among the best in recent Select Board memory.
