The board unanimously appointed John Cusick as chair and Bob Shaughnessy as vice chair following town elections, then voted to award a three-year drinking water testing contract to Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Northeast LLC of Concord, New Hampshire, at an estimated $223,703.30 — beating out Pace Analytical, which failed to include a required 10 percent resampling contingency in its bid. A second contract, for wastewater lab testing at an annual value of $26,223, also went to Eurofins over Rhode Island Analytical.

The board approved a $14,609 contract reduction and released $437,164.34 in final retainage to Visco Building Systems to close out the Plymouth Pump Station upgrade. A detailed PFAS briefing confirmed all 16 town wells are in compliance with the current state limit of 20 parts per trillion, with 11 of 16 already below the stricter federal standard of four parts per trillion that takes effect in 2031 — as neighboring West Duxbury faces an estimated $18 million treatment bill after shutting down a contaminated well.
