Norwell Board of Health Issues Cyclospora Health Advisory

NORWELL — Norwell's Board of Health posted a new health advisory Wednesday flagging cyclospora, while the town library confirmed its new laptop lending program is now up and running for cardholders.

TOWN HALL The town added a News Flash item to its website Wednesday titled "Cyclospora Information," directing residents to guidance on the parasitic illness. The notice does not specify whether it is tied to a local case or is a broader public-health advisory, and no additional detail was posted alongside it.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Norwell Public Library's new Device Lending Program is officially active, the library announced, offering cardholders four Dell Pro 14 laptops for in-library use and seven Dell Latitude touch-screen laptops available for take-home checkout. The rollout builds on the library's previously reported $35,000 state technology grant, putting real hardware behind that award.

The library also confirmed that budget cuts tied to its fiscal 2026 budget have eliminated seasonal Sunday hours, a change detailed in its July newsletter along with a fuller breakdown of the budget's expected impacts on services.
