Top Whitman sale reaches $725 as half of period's deeds await pricing
WHITMAN -- Twelve property transfers were recorded in Whitman during the four weeks ending Sept. 19, led by a $725 sale on Whitman Avenue, though half of the period's deeds have not yet had sale prices posted to the registry.
MARKET OVERVIEW The Plymouth County Registry of Deeds recorded 12 Whitman property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19. Of those, six carried a recorded sale price, ranging from $110 to $725, with a median of $512. The other six deeds, filed Aug. 27 through Sept. 4, have no price yet available; those figures typically populate within about a week of recording, so pricing for that stretch of the period remains incomplete. Twelve recorded transfers over four weeks is a moderate count for Whitman based on the raw number alone; no comparative baseline is available in this dataset to say more.
TOP SALES The highest-priced recorded transaction was 29 Whitman Ave, which sold Aug. 28 for $725. Whitman House LLC was the seller and Therrien Properties LLC the buyer. At 560 South Ave, Kyle and Kelli Armstrong sold to Hind Ait Ouslih and Abdelilah Araji for $650 on Aug. 27. At 1121 Washington St, Anil Kumar and Sai Pushpa Latha Palaparthi sold to Dylan and Kylie Hickey for $525 on Aug. 26. At 7 Churchill Ave, Kimberly and Robert Whalen sold to Kaylee E. Willard and Vanessa M. Dipietro for $500 on Aug. 21. At 173 Alden St, the estate of John J. Bezanson and Dorothy Saunders sold to Matthew J. McAndrew for $447 on Aug. 31.
NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Washington Street and Plymouth Street each had two recorded transfers in the period. On Washington Street, 140 Washington St changed hands within the McLaughlin family with no price yet available, while 1121 Washington St sold for $525. On Plymouth Street, both 65 Plymouth St and 735 Plymouth St were recorded without a price yet available. By price tier among the six sales with recorded figures: two fell under $500 (173 Alden St at $447 and 491 Harvard St, Parcel 2B, at $110); three fell between $500 and $650 (7 Churchill Ave, 1121 Washington St and 560 South Ave); and one exceeded $650 (29 Whitman Ave at $725).
