Bridgewater Town Council Unanimously Extends Town Manager Budget Deadline One Week
BRIDGEWATER — March 26, 2026 — Bridgewater Town Council grants Town Manager a one-week budget extension. The full council voted 7-0 Thursday in a brief remote special meeting to allow Town Manager Justin Casanova Davis additional time to finalize what he called "a very difficult budget," citing ongoing work with the town's collective bargaining groups. The Charter-mandated deadline — the first meeting of April — will be waived, with the formal budget presentation now slated for a specially called meeting on April 14. The April 7 regularly scheduled Council meeting will instead feature a preliminary budget discussion with invited representatives from the School Committee and Finance Committee, followed by a third meeting on April 21, giving the Council three consecutive sessions to work through the budget cycle.
