Carver COA Sets Gazebo Outreach Event, Moves July Meeting to July 30

CARVER — June 18, 2026 — Carver Council on Aging plans town gazebo open house and pushes senior needs survey. The board, meeting June 18, approved moving its July meeting from the 23rd to the 30th and heard COA Director Connie report 869 registered members as of late May and GATRA van trips of 780 in April and 708 in May. A meet and greet at the town gazebo is set for June 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain date of June 29, featuring on-site COA registration with key tags and free lunch vouchers, sponsor giveaways from Old Colony Elder Services, Rockland Trust, Fallon Health, and Carver Cares, and a drawing open to anyone who completes the UMass Amherst Donahue Institute senior needs assessment survey, which is live online through the end of July for Carver residents 55 and older. The annual barbecue luncheon is set for July 13, with tickets on sale July 1 through Alice at the COA, limited to four per person, and entertainment from Jimbo Wilson and the Cranberry Junction Country Band.
