Carver Zoning Board Continues Both Cases, Cites Missing Data and Recusal
CARVER — March 5, 2026 — Carver Zoning Board continues both cases at March 5 meeting, flagging a missing measurement and a recusal conflict. Chair Stephen Gray and the four-member panel approved the January 29 minutes 4-0 and then heard from petitioner Paul Young of 14 Murdoch Street, who wants to replace a rotting concrete front stoop with a wider Trex composite landing measuring 69 inches wide by 48 inches deep — 17 inches wider and 15 inches closer to the road than the existing nonconforming structure, which already sits within the district's required 50-foot front setback. The board, settling on a special permit rather than the more demanding variance track, told Young to return April 9 with the exact distance from the street edge to the bottom stair. Attorney Rob D'Ambroso, representing Buildax, requested the continuance after Gray explained the legal stakes.
