HANSON — The Hanson Conservation Commission voted 3-0 to approve a variance and order of conditions letting a Lakeside Road homeowner finish a rebuild halted for lacking a required wetlands permit. Engineer John Landy of Morrison Engineering and attorney Thomas Gay represented homeowner Christine Eaton, proposing 1,150 square feet of mitigation plantings after footings were poured without approval. Vice Chairman Frank Skellinger, who had issued the original enforcement order, said the applicant "made a very good faith effort to take this project in hand." Members also voted 3-0 to extend for one year an order of conditions for phragmites removal at Smitty's Bog on Indian Head Street, and voted 3-0 to file a new notice of intent to bring that removal work under a state wetlands permit.

A separate application for 0 Adams Circle was continued to November 25.
