HALIFAX — The Halifax Conservation Commission approved a pond-side house rebuild, recommended a 13.7-acre land donation, and cleared a sidewalk redesign. Engineer Greg Drake won approval for a septic and house rebuild at 15 Ocean Avenue, contingent on a separate minor stormwater permit before work starts. Mark Robinson, executive director of the Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trust, told the board "I've been doing this work for 40 years in Southeastern Mass" while pitching a conservation restriction on 13.743 donated acres at 106 South Street, which the board voted to recommend to the Select Board.
Josh White of JD Civil won approval of a 162-linear-foot sidewalk extension at 265 Monponsett Street, but the board flagged a missing vernal pool certification required before any certificate of compliance, telling White "that's just something that we're going to require." All votes were unanimous voice votes.
