Other Committee · Meeting of October 6, 2026

Carver's Earth Removal Committee approved $20,736.48 more for road paving after costs ran over. John Woods of the Department of Operations and Maintenance told the board his calculations were "just off," pushing total line-painting and police-detail invoices to $81,911.68 against an original $60,000 approval. The committee voted unanimously to cover the gap.

Members also continued a public hearing on Derek Maxey's earth removal permit application for 0 Wayham Street to November 17, after Maxey reported wetlands delineation work with Conservation Agent Olivia was still underway. Resident Debra Strafus asked what independent review exists for "actual neighborhood impact" beyond the required engineering peer review, estimated at roughly $6,000 and paid by the applicant. The board also reset its next meeting and scheduled a November 14 site visit to Great Cedar Cranberry and a Plymouth Street property owned by Eric and Elaine Weston.
