East Bridgewater Select Board Hears Seven Liquor License Bids, Votes to Switch Trash Hauler

EAST BRIDGEWATER — April 16, 2026 — East Bridgewater Select Board gathers information from seven liquor license applicants and approves switch to Waste Management for trash hauling. The board held a public hearing Monday, April 13, as seven establishments — including Corsetti's Outlet, Sophie's Italian Food, One Stop Food Mart at 650 Plymouth Street, Country Convenience, Tri-Town Express at 60 Franklin Street, Joppa Market at 626 Bedford Street, and T-Square — presented cases for new or upgraded all-alcohol licenses; decisions are expected at the April 27 meeting. Attorney Sydney Prokos, representing Tri-Town Express, told the board her clients had collected 650 signatures in support and noted their store is "over three miles and two lights away" from the nearest existing liquor store. The board unanimously authorized the town administrator to sign a new lease management agreement with Waste Management effective July 1, replacing Republic Services and holding residential trash fees flat. The board also voted to place a $10,000 appropriation on the May 11 Town Meeting warrant for a title search and survey of a town-owned parcel of interest for residential development.
