Other Committee · Meeting of October 5, 2026

Hull redevelopment board ties 2-2, denies Rotary Club's $500 ask. The Hull Redevelopment Authority split evenly on a request from Jim Petrillo of the Nantasket Hull Rotary Club to help fund its veterans dinner and food-assistance program, with one member warning "where do you say enough?" and another countering the HRA has "given over a million dollars to different programming" historically. The board, not at full strength, separately approved the Thanksgiving-night bonfire permit for November 26 and a $1,250 winter sauna concession bid from Respiro Spa, contingent on a new lease and the vendor explaining a proposed second sauna structure at the board's October 26 meeting.

Members spent much of the night debating whether to seek a design consultant via request for qualifications or request for proposals for roughly 13 acres of waterfront land, with one member pegging full park conversion at "about a million dollars an acre," but took no vote, continuing the item pending a full board and the authority's attorney.
