Marshfield School Committee approves $63.6 million preliminary FY27 budget, 3-0. The committee, with Mrs. Brink and Mrs.

Stetson absent, closed a public hearing with no comment before approving the $63,597,203 figure and voting to send a $152,245.21 special town meeting article funding a retiree sick-time buyback, drawing on a district fund with "over $400,000" untouched. Governor Winslow School's "Together We Belong" spotlight, led by Principal Karen Hubbard, brought students from every grade to present heritage and identity projects. Marshfield Education Association President Ben Raymond honored reading specialists Pam Roberts and Jennifer Chase as "above and beyond" recipients.

Mr. Battis pitched a freshman boys lacrosse team, estimated at $3,700 to $4,200, after 42 freshmen signed up; no funding vote was taken. Assistant Superintendent Dr.

Ellen Martin presented districtwide MCAS results showing gains in elementary math and declines at grade 10.
