McMahon Makes Case for School Committee Seat Ahead of June 6 Vote

SCITUATE — May 27, 2026 — Scituate School Committee candidate Erica McMahon outlined her platform in a community access TV interview ahead of the June 6 annual town election. McMahon, a former teacher and governance consultant, is running for the Position 2 seat against Coleman Smith in the ballot's only contested race, with voting at Scituate High School. She named student belonging and wellness, family-district communication, and oversight of the new elementary school and redistricting process as top priorities, and called for plain-language communications that "meet community members where they are."
