Plympton Select Board Approves Annual Appointments, Signs Two Conservation Restrictions

PLYMPTON — June 15, 2026 — Plympton Select Board approves dozens of annual appointments and advances a federal water project on a tight deadline. Meeting Monday after an executive session, the three-member board unanimously approved a comprehensive slate of appointments spanning more than 30 positions across town departments and volunteer committees, including William Kelly Jr. as Building Inspector, Roxanne Whitbeck as Veterans Services Agent, and six special police officers. Interim Town Administrator Robert Fennessy reported that a designer bid package for a federally funded public water supply project goes out this week, with an opening targeted for on or around July 13 and a hard December 31, 2026 ARPA completion deadline. Fennessy also disclosed he has applied for the permanent town administrator post, making him the only candidate currently known to the board; Community Paradigm principal Bernie Lynch is expected to present a finalist slate at the June 29 meeting. The board received a fire station HVAC remediation estimate of $19,500, deferred action to the next meeting, and noted the Town Properties Committee needs at least one additional volunteer to resume formal operations.
