Scituate Little League closes out spring with champions crowned across divisions as basketball eyes the winter season ahead.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Scituate Little League's website is spotlighting the finishers from its recently completed local season, naming Gallagher Landscaping as Majors champions and Hoffman Property Management as Farm champions. The league also recognized its 10U softball team as District 8 champions and featured its Minors and Juniors All-Star games and the "Queen of the Diamonds 2026" event among its season highlights.

With summer underway, the league is running its Summer Sandlot Baseball program, along with Summer Travel Baseball, Summer Travel Softball, and Summer Town Baseball & Softball offerings, according to its program listings. The league's field-status page shows regular updates for its home diamonds, including Central South, Central Baseball, Central North, and the Community Turf fields at Scituate High School, among others.

On the basketball side, the Scituate Basketball Association says registration for its 2026-27 Winter Travel Season will open in September, with tryouts starting the week of October 20. The SBA says players must attend both tryout dates for their grade and should bring a basketball and water; no makeup tryout dates will be offered. Rosters for the 2025-26 teams are listed as "coming soon" on the association's site. The SBA also noted its "BIG AL 3 on 3" tournament, held in memory of Al Kazlousky, drew registered teams this season, with entries capped at $80 per team of three or four players.
