Scituate Little League spotlighted its 2026 season champions while Scituate Basketball Association set a September registration date for winter travel tryouts.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Scituate Little League's website is highlighting several season achievements, including a 10U Softball District 8 championship, a Majors Division title for Gallagher Landscaping, and a Farm Division title for Hoffman Property Management. The league's site also features its Minors and Juniors All-Star Games among recent showcase photos. Program pages list Summer Sandlot Baseball among the league's current offerings, and the site continues to post field status updates, team schedules and standings for families to track.

Scituate Basketball Association said registration for the 2026-27 winter travel season will open in September, with tryouts scheduled for the week of Oct. 20. The SBA said every child needs to attend both tryout dates for their grade and should bring a basketball and water, noting there will be no makeup tryout dates. Practices are set to begin in November, with games starting the first weekend of December. The association said parents interested in coaching should reach out to dmahery@hotmail.com. Depending on grade level, SBA teams play in the South Shore Girls Basketball League, the South Shore Youth Boys Basketball League, or Old Colony Girls Basketball, according to its website.
