Weather cancels youth basketball games; soccer late registration deadline passes with fee window still open.
PEMBROKE --
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Pembroke Titans Youth Basketball's Summer In-Town league canceled Boys Grade 5/6 and 7/8, as well as Girls 7/8/9 division games scheduled for the evening of July 7 because of weather conditions, the organization announced. The league's outdoor-courts schedule had called for games across two courts starting at 5 p.m. and running through 8 p.m., matching teams including Brennan, Johnson, Najarian, Evans, Burns, McDonald, Ferguson, McDonald, Etienne, Brinn, Ndiaye and Moran across the 5/6 and 7/8 divisions.
Pembroke Youth Soccer's late registration window for the Fall 2026-Spring 2027 season closed July 1. A single registration covers both the fall and spring seasons; a $25 late fee may apply for those signing up after the deadline, and players registering after that point will be placed on a waitlist, with team placement no longer guaranteed. Families registering three or more children can contact PYS Registrar Danielle O'Neill for a family discount, and PYS said financial assistance is available on a confidential basis through PYS President Joshua Henderson.
PYS also invited families to join it in cheering on Boston Legacy FC's inaugural season at Gillette Stadium, with discounted tickets available through the club.
