Halifax Select Board bans heavy trucks on Old Plymouth Street after hearing safety concerns. The board voted 3-0 to prohibit through trucks over 2.5 tons from the street's western section, with Police Chief Chaves acknowledging the department "don't have the equipment to weigh the vehicles" to enforce it. The same meeting recognized Sergeant William Caprio's retirement after 27 years, unanimously promoted Officer Patrick DeRue to sergeant, and appointed two new patrol officers, William Beggary and Jeffrey F.
