Board of Selectmen · Meeting of August 26, 2026
Plympton Selectmen voted to keep a foreclosed Main Street parcel for conservation access to Turkey Swamp. The board unanimously approved the land court foreclosure, with the tax title balance near $35,000, after Town Treasurer and Collector Christine outlined the process; she also announced she passed her state treasurer certification exam, calling it "the first in Plympton." Interim Town Administrator Robert Fennessy reported a settlement with the trustees of Marymount Realty Trust that will finalize the broader Turkey Swamp acquisition within a year, plus a separate three-year safeguard agreement with SLT Corporation covering the Rickett's Pond 40B project. The board also accepted the resignation of William Kelly as building commissioner and appointed Paul Armstrong, Kingston's building commissioner, to the post, and approved 14 one-day liquor licenses for Sawchuck Farm's fall festival.
