Water Commissioners · Meeting of April 6, 2026

WEST BRIDGEWATER — The Water Commissioners heard that the Manley Street PFAS plant's filter problem was fixed. James Hoyt of Taylor & Howard said improper startup backwashing caused the high differential pressure, and that it returned to specification after the contractor repeated it. Samples were taken the previous Tuesday, with results expected in two to three weeks and a DEP inspection tentatively planned for late April.

Hoyt said the project is $541,840 under the SRF principal expected at the last rate review. For the Norman plant, about $2.5 million of a $16.3 million project remains to be borrowed. The board approved its March 16 minutes and adjourned, with the next meeting set for April 20.
