Hanson Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of August 11, 2026

HANSON — The Zoning Board of Appeals closed the public hearing on a proposed house at 0 Union Park Street and will deliberate Aug. 25. Attorney Jeff DeLisi, representing applicant Edward Johnson, said the four 2,400-square-foot lots total 9,600 square feet with 120 feet of frontage, well short of Residence A's 30,000 square feet and 150 feet. A second attorney said the old grandfathering argument is weak but that the new state variance standard gives the board more room to approve.

Abutter Desi Stocker raised a boundary and septic concern, and the applicant's surveyor was asked to meet her side. The board has 100 days to decide.
