WEST BRIDGEWATER — The Board of Assessors voted to end its policy allowing a single member to sign invoices under $5,000. Meeting June 17, members agreed the board should keep requiring at least two signatures among its three members. The board also changed its signatory policy, first adopted in June 2019 and amended in February 2022, to name the clerk of the board by position rather than by name.
A participant said the rewritten policy would go to the assistant town accountant for review. "I don't like only one Board member signing off on money," one member said. The board also approved its May 17 minutes and a four-day vacation carryover for a staff member named Janiella.
