West Bridgewater assessors renewed the principal assessor's contract for one year. The Board of Assessors voted Wednesday to approve the contract, which carries a 3 percent salary increase for the next fiscal year, after reviewing it in open session. It had been discussed in executive session at the previous meeting.
The board also approved open session minutes from April 15 and allowed the principal assessor, Daniela, to attend the Tuesday and Thursday sessions of the Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers summer conference. Members then went into executive session, not to reconvene, to discuss strategy on pending Appellate Tax Board cases and applications for real estate abatements and exemptions.
