Select Board · Meeting of October 14, 2026

Hull's Select Board approved an $8.99 million bond sale but put off a vote clarifying its stance on a Coastal Zone Management grant for a combined DPW-Light Plant facility. Town Accountant Mike Buckley and Town Treasurer Eileen White secured UMB Bank N.A. as bond buyer at 4.28 percent, with an S&P AA rating. Vice Chair Jerry Taverna moved to clarify that the board does not want to exclude the Light Plant, whose board voted 5-0 to stay at its Edgewater Road site, from the grant scope, though member Greg Grey warned that excluding it would leave the town "half blind." Constable called the two-year dispute "a distraction," saying "it is time to move on from it." The board also unanimously approved a license for a donated lighthouse and tower replica at a Nantasket Avenue lot, conditioned on police, building and conservation review, and deferred the grant question to its next meeting.
