Other Committee · Meeting of November 4, 2026
Bridgewater's Charter Review Committee approved sections of Article 9 on ethics, prohibited practices, campaign finance and charter review. Vice Chair Eric Dyess presided because Chair Scott Pitta, who attended remotely, was ill. Section 9-1 would require an ethics ordinance reviewed every five years, and 9-4 would require a written Town Council response within 120 days of a future review committee's report.
Members approved the removal-of-board-members section 9-7 on a 4-1 roll call, with Lindsay voting no. The committee held sections 9-8 and 9-9 for review alongside two proposed new sections. One member said the process "is like sculpting from clay right now."
