Hull Redevelopment Authority Awards Six Nantasket Beach Vendor Spaces for 2026 Season

Email Text Facebook X

HULL -- March 30, 2026, Hull Redevelopment Authority awards six Nantasket Beach vendor spaces and debates two-way road transparency. At the March 30 meeting, Chairman Mark Kelly and the five-member board opened eight concession bids and awarded vendor spaces to Northeast Surfing ($3,110, highest bid), Boston Lobster and Seafood ($2,010), Respiro Wellness Sauna ($1,805.01), Cindy Shay MJ's ($1,200), and Ellie's Treats LLC ($1,100); a sixth applicant, Authentic Hill Market, was disqualified for failing to send a representative. The board also unanimously approved a $7,831.94 warrant covering legal, publication, and utility costs. The meeting's most heated exchange centered on board member Adrienne Paquin's disclosure that a November 2023 DCR letter rejecting key elements of the town's two-way road 25 percent design, along with a subsequent consultant revision submitted to DCR, was never shared with the HRA board, despite the authority having co-funded nearly $1.5 million in state and federal design grants; Paquin, who announced she is not seeking re-election and is moving out of town, said the board's November 2025 endorsement vote is now being cited by the town planner as HRA approval of a plan the board has never fully seen.
