Hull Select Board Approves Half-Hour Tipsy Tuna Extension, Tables Light Plant Petition Vote

HULL — June 10, 2026 — Hull Select Board grants Tipsy Tuna a half-hour entertainment extension and advances parking-fine legislation. The board voted 3-1 Wednesday to extend the Tipsy Tuna's entertainment license at 276 Nantasket Avenue by a half hour beyond existing approved hours for live music, karaoke, and DJ entertainment — rejecting the business's request for up to two additional hours after neighbors described persistent late-night bass noise. In a joint session with the Hull Municipal Light Board, the board deferred a vote on transmitting the Article 40 home rule petition — which would restructure light plant governance — to its June 24 meeting, with Town Counsel Brian Winner directed to prepare a draft transmittal letter in advance; Light Board Chair Tom Burns reported his board had voted 4-1 to advance the article.
