Lakeville Conservation Commission Issues Patty's Way Certificate, Continues Six Cases to July

LAKEVILLE — June 23, 2026 — Lakeville Conservation Commission continued six open cases to July 14 and approved a letter of support for a Long Pond biodiversity grant at its June 23 meeting. The commission issued a certificate of compliance for a residential project at 1 Patty's Way under Order of Conditions SE 192-914, with applicant Eric Massey of 55 Long Point Road present; Conservation Agent Mark Minton confirmed the lawn was established and the site stabilized. Member John LeBlanc raised a concern at Zero Myrick Street that gas utility lines shown crossing a culvert in riprap could be punctured over time, and the commission directed Minton to relay the concern to peer reviewer Deb Keller of Merrill Engineering. The commission also reviewed a draft Open Space and Residential Development bylaw the Planning Board intends to bring to fall Town Meeting, with member Nancy Yates arguing that the document uses imprecise terminology — "resource area delineation" instead of the formal "ORAD" — and that allowing up to 50 percent of required open space to consist of already-protected wetlands would reduce the amount of meaningful upland preserved. The commission voted to authorize a written response to the Planning Board with those concerns.
