Lakeville Planning Board Continues Two Hearings, Names David Lodge Vice Chair

LAKEVILLE — June 11, 2026 — Lakeville Planning Board continued two land-use hearings and seated a new vice chair at its June 11 meeting. The board voted unanimously to carry both the site plan review for a proposed 900-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 55 Long Point Road, submitted by Derek Maxey, and an approval-not-required plan for 92 Taunton Street, prepared by Silver Engineering Associates, to the June 25 meeting. The ADU hearing is awaiting water test results; the 92 Taunton Street plan must be revised to show a private well location and address two sheds encroaching on setbacks, with any changes also requiring notification to the city of Taunton, which had already endorsed the plan. Taylor Breslin, Director of Housing and Research at the Mika Sarpet consulting firm, reported that town counsel had completed a thorough review of the board's draft rules and regulations, with most edits clarifying in nature, and said she expects to deliver a final document by the first meeting in July. The board unanimously appointed member David Lodge as vice chair, filling a vacancy left by a recent resignation.
