Pembroke Youth Basketball opens travel registration for the winter season, while Pembroke Youth Soccer's late registration stays open for its combined fall-spring slate.
PEMBROKE -- Youth sports organizations continued off-season business this week, with two leagues pushing registration deadlines.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Pembroke Youth Basketball (the Titans) announced that travel registration is open for the 2026-2027 Winter Travel season, with a registration deadline of September 26. The program is open to boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. A $20 registration fee will be collected at signup, which the league says will be applied toward a full season tuition of approximately $300 per player if a child is selected to a team. Tryouts are scheduled at North Elementary School; the league says its In-Town program registration will open in November.
Pembroke Youth Soccer said late registration remains open for its Fall 2026-Spring 2027 season, which the league says covers both seasons under a single registration. The league noted that registration will close earlier than in past years, that a $25 late fee may apply, and that after the late window players will be placed on a waitlist with team placement not guaranteed. Families registering three or more children can contact the PYS registrar for a family discount, and the league said financial assistance inquiries to PYS President Joshua Henderson will be kept confidential.
