BRIDGEWATER — The Bridgewater Planning Board voted unanimously to send Hilton Garden Inn drainage changes to the town's engineering consultant rather than decide whether they are major or minor. Engineer Larry Silva told the board a value-engineering review found extra stormwater basin capacity at Lakeshore Center, letting the project eliminate a second basin near a wetland buffer. Consultant Greg Tanzi said infrastructure changes have "constitute[d] a major review" in his past experience and asked for a week to study a 339-page drainage report; the applicant must pay a $2,000 review fee.
The board also voted 5-0 to continue the long-pending Whispering Wood private way petition, after resident Lisa Thayer said she "wouldn't be this upset" if the matter hadn't dragged on 20 years, and released a bond with interest, 5-0, for the completed Bridgewater Preserve subdivision.
