WAREHAM — The Wareham School Committee approved a year-end FY26 budget transfer that moves unspent funds into the tuition line. Kristen Flynn said balances ran from $1 to just under $13,000, with the largest, $12,843, in the legal services line. The shift lets tuition once paid from the federal IDEA grant be charged to the budget, preserving grant money through Sept. 30, 2027, as six new out-of-district placements arrived after Town Meeting.
The 4-0 vote came as members also accepted an AED from the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office for the McDuffie Center. Superintendent Amy Hartley-Matteson's calendar changes passed 4-0, moving the budget workshop to Nov. 12 and starting the Sept. 17 meeting at 5:30 p.m. for a one-hour MASC session.
