PLYMOUTH — Select Board raised liquor and auto dealer license fees, adding a 3 percent annual escalator. The board voted 4-1 to approve the schedule Senior Staff Assistant Jade Anderton presented, effective Jan. 1, 2027. The all-alcohol license rises from $1,800 to $2,800, the wine and malt license from $950 to $2,000, and auto dealer permits to $200.
The escalator covers any fee not capped by statute. Anderton compared Plymouth with seven communities and said some fees dated to 1984. Members also pressed the Plymouth Housing Authority over three Oak Street School units built with roughly $1.2 million that cannot yet count as affordable housing.
