Select Board backs four preservation grant requests
Select Board · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Hull Select Board forwards four CPA grant requests worth over $90,000. The board unanimously advanced preliminary Community Preservation Act applications for Scout House siding and HVAC work ($50,000), Fort Revere Park landscaping, Fort Revere Water Tower ladder access ($20,000), and Weir River Estuary Center repairs (under $20,000), all ahead of an October 29 final-application deadline. Town Manager Jennifer Constable also pushed back on Planning Board resistance to the town's MAPC-led master plan contract, warning it "would be a waste of $90,000 of taxpayer funds to redo a process that is only halfway completed." The board approved three one-day liquor licenses, endorsed a Parking Management Advisory Committee charge, and noted House Bill 4247, raising parking fines to $100, now sits on the governor's desk.
With Vice Chair Jerry Taverna absent, the board tabled final votes on its Organizational Commitments and 2026-2027 Integrated Goals and Objectives.
