Lakeville's Zoning Board of Appeals postponed three hearings, including a 200-unit affordable housing project, after two members were absent left it without a quorum. Chair John Olivieri Jr. told petitioners the board needed four of five votes to grant any special permit and warned that acting with only three members present "would constitute a denial anyway." Applicant Jonathan Denault questioned the delay on his accessory-structure permit at 116 Lakeside Avenue, saying "I just want to build a building for my own stuff," but agreed to continue to September 24. Attorney Salim Khodora consented on behalf of Simmons Hill, LLC, whose 200-unit comprehensive permit application includes at least 50 affordable units.
Board member Anthony Zucco's own permit request for 14 Betty's Neck Road was also continued. Members separately voted unanimously to recommend Cody Volozo for appointment to the board.
