Health Board Approves Job Description, Four Consultants

East Bridgewater Board of Health adopts revised health agent job description, hires four firms to cover vacancy. Chair Rob Lyons led Vice Chair Tom Duquette Jr. and Clerk Andrew Hudson through HR- and attorney-requested edits to the job description, which the board approved 3-0. With the health agent post empty, the board voted unanimously to bring on Arthur Bloomquist as lead consultant alongside ALSCO, PMP Consulting and Outback Engineering, saying the four "will have pretty much 95 percent of everything" covered except tobacco inspections.
Lyons said he will propose converting the role into a department-head-level health director position at the October 5 meeting, calling it necessary "that we get the consensus in place as quickly as possible."
