Hull Conservation Commission presses officials over a FEMA map change nobody told them about. Building Inspector and Floodplain Administrator Bart Kelly explained a Letter of Map Revision that reclassified part of North Nantasket Beach, lowering flood insurance costs for some owners in an area commissioners say still floods. Commissioner Danielle Dolan called it "a breakdown in the process," saying the commission "still have not seen the data." Commissioner Kate Jacintho questioned FEMA's reliance on a single transect line covering the roughly mile-long stretch from Atlantic Hill to Phipp Street.
Clerk Renee Kiley floated a town bylaw requiring advance notice of future map revisions. Separately, the board approved sheds, decks and a new house by 5-0 roll-call votes, continued two pending house applications to October 13, and opened an enforcement case over unpermitted drainage work at 8 Moreland Ave.
