HULL — The Hull Planning Board divided up drafting work on its 2027 zoning bylaw amendments after staff warned the original January hearing target was unworkable. Director of Community Development and Planning Chris Dilorio said finishing language by January "is going to be challenged," pushing the target to February hearings and March final language. Members paired off to draft site plan review, landscape standards, special permit appeal authority and a disputed "definition of a building" provision after the building commissioner ruled that connected structures could count as one building.
Lisa French said the board needs language to prevent "multiple buildings from being counted as a single building, despite building codes." The board also weighed a master plan funding request after a prior 6-0 vote, with member Nathan Peyton noting no community received more than $50,000 in state planning-assistance grants this cycle. The board adjourned on a 4-2 vote near 10 p.m.
