Board Continues Main Street Hearing on Conditions
Planning Board · Meeting of September 10, 2026
Lakeville Planning Board delays a vote on the 43 Main Street redevelopment, pushing for tighter conditions first. Developer Michael Olson of Rhino Capital Advisors sought a two-year extension of site plan approvals for a 190-unit senior living complex and a 68-unit cottage community on the long-vacant former hospital site, which neighbor Susan Ox said has drawn decades of break-ins and vandalism. The board continued the hearing to September 24, directing town counsel and Olson to draft conditions on fire-department compliance, quarterly progress check-ins and security-fence upkeep.
"We have a plan," Olson told the board, "and we want to see this happen." In other business, the board unanimously approved a site plan for Twisted Growers Retail LLC's proposed marijuana retail store at 8 Harding Street and continued a hearing on a roughly 5,000-square-foot commercial office building at 2 Main Street, also to September 24, pending building elevations.
