Conservation Commission · Meeting of October 27, 2026

LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Conservation Commission approved an order of conditions capping a new horse barn at two horses after abutters objected. Engineer Darren presented the revised plan for 52 Fuller Shores Road, adding an 80-foot rip-rap berm and a manure trailer emptied "at least once a week." Abutter Mike Irvine said he was "kind of surprised" the project grew from one horse to two and sought a peer review, which the board denied. Chair Nancy Yeatts said denying the project outright risked state override, noting "DEP superseded it" in a past case.

The commission also closed a hearing for a Two Main Street project tied to a new Zenith facility, granted Clark Shores Water Corporation a three-year extension to November 30, 2029, and issued a negative determination for a septic upgrade at 24 Evergreen Road. Two other hearings were continued to November 10 and December 15.
