Hanson Conservation Commission continues Woodbine Ave. hearing and officially names the Stillman Meadows. The commission voted 3-0 at its July 15 meeting to push back a Notice of Intent public hearing for Janice and Daniel O'Connor of 86 Woodbine Ave. — who seek to build a home addition and upgrade their septic system near a perennial stream — to August 5, after Chair Thomas F. Roffey noted the panel could not act without a DEP file number: "Without the DEP number, we are kind of dead in the water." In a separate 3-0 vote, the commission adopted the name Stillman Meadows for a section of the Smith-Nawazowski conservation area at the request of a descendant of the land's original owners, authorizing a sign estimated at roughly $100 near the property's existing trail kiosk.

Members also flagged that a proposed $20,000 special town meeting conservation fund article for fiscal year 2027 may need to climb as high as $35,000 to $40,000 — or be split into two articles — after one surveyor quoted over $10,000 for just one of three conservation parcels requiring boundary surveys.
