Plympton Home Prices Hold Steady Near $685,000 Median in Late Summer

PLYMPTON -- Seven property transfers were recorded in Plympton between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, with six carrying sale prices ranging from $565,000 to $769,000 and a median of $685,000.

MARKET OVERVIEW The Plymouth County Registry of Deeds recorded seven transfers in Plympton during the period, six of which included a sale price. Those six prices ranged from $565,000 to $769,000, with a median of $685,000. A seventh transfer, at 59 Prospect Road, was recorded as a nominal-consideration transfer and is not counted in the price range or median. Based on count alone, seven recorded transfers is a modest but not unusual volume for a small town like Plympton over a roughly four-week span.

TOP SALES 25 Thomas Blanchard Drive sold for $769,000 on Aug. 27. Luis Matos was the seller; Samuel A. Reed and Courtney L. Reed were the buyers.

9 Lake Street sold for $760,000 on Aug. 31. Mark A. Leshefsky and Denise Leshefsky were the sellers; Alexander Gay and Ashley Trickett were the buyers.

15 Prospect Road sold for $695,000 on Sept. 1. Erik N. Player and Katarzyna V. Player were the sellers; Taylor Omelia and Kimberly Gabriel were the buyers.

NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Prospect Road saw the most activity of any street, with three recorded transfers: sales at 15 Prospect Road ($695,000) and 23 Prospect Road ($650,000), plus a nominal-consideration transfer at 59 Prospect Road. All six priced sales fell between $500,000 and $1 million, with none above $1 million and none below $500,000. Within that band, the three highest sales (Thomas Blanchard Drive, Lake Street and Prospect Road at $695,000) clustered in the $690,000-to-$770,000 range, while the three lower sales (Center Street, the second Prospect Road sale, and Spring Street) fell between $565,000 and $675,000.
